RULES :

It’s time for the Travelling Man summer paint challenge ‘sun’s out, gun’s out!’

In your pack you will receive a random 40k miniature, 4 random paints, some summer basing material from Geek Gaming Scenics and sweeties!

The competition will run until 11:59 pm on the 31st of July 2025. In order to have a valid entry you must submit your entry into the google form (Qr code attached as picture) as well as post your entry on social media using the hashtags #tmanpaintchallenge and #sunsoutgunsout40k Either on TikTok (@travellingmanminis) or Instagram (@travellingmanuk). At least one of the entry photos should include all the materials included in your box to show what colours you had to work with.

We would love to see WIPS so please tag us in any! (No extra points, sorry!)

Paint the mini using the paints provided, and no other colours. Using black and white is allowed, as well as mixing the paints. You may prime your mini with a black or white of your choice. Mediums are allowed as long as they add no additional colour to the paints.

The basing material provided must be used, however you may add other basing materials as you see fit. Kit bashing is also allowed, but the main focus of the miniature must still be the original mini.

The main criteria for the competition will be the use of the colours given to create the best looking miniature. There will be 1 overall winner and 3 runner ups, as well as 2 staff picks and an under 16 category.

The main winner will be the miniature the judges feel has best met the challenge of the limited colour pallet and will receive a prize of hobby supplies worth over £100.

The first runner up will be for the best technical painting, and will receive a prize of hobby supplies worth over £60.

The second runner up will be for the best base, and will receive a prize of hobby supplies worth over £40.

The final runner up will be for the best executed concept, and will also receive a prize of hobby supplies worth over £40.

There will be two wild card staff picks, chosen by our staff across the company who will each receive prizes worth over £20.

finally our under 16s winner will receive prizes worth over £25.
